Rally Legend Walter Röhrl visits the Losch Collection Showroom

A special visit to the
showroom

Rally legend Walter Röhrl and his longtime co-driver Christian Geistdörfer visited the showroom and signed the Audi quattro on display. They were welcomed and accompanied by Claude Horsmans and Fabrice Schwarzwälder from the Losch Collection team.

Rally icon Walter Röhrl

Walter Röhrl is considered one of the most successful rally drivers of all time. The former German rally driver competed between 1973 and 1987, winning two FIA World Rally Championship titles and claiming victory at the Rallye Monte Carlo four times. One of these victories was achieved in 1984 in an Audi quattro.

The Audi quattro

The 1985 Audi quattro on display is one of the flagship vehicles of the Losch Collection. Often referred to as the “Urquattro,” the sports car revolutionized both road driving and international rallying in the 1980s thanks to its permanent all-wheel-drive system.

Back to its roots

Following engine damage, the Audi quattro was restored and mechanically rebuilt in Ingolstadt by a former mechanic of Walter Röhrl. The restoration was successfully completed in May 2026.

More than just a
signature

With the signatures of Walter Röhrl and Christian Geistdörfer, the Audi quattro gains additional historical significance and becomes an even more special exhibit within the Losch Collection.
